Bainbridge Island
the other day my mom and i took a ferry from seattle to bainbridge island. while the ferry was not near as nice as the ferry from dover to calais this summer the island was out of novel. it is an alcove for artist and writers and was enchanting just to walk down main street, and down to the wharf and then spend some time driving around. and the coolest shop in town was churchill yarns and tea...they had the most amazing yarn and the shop was just cool...it made me think of amy (russell) and it has made me want to start knitting... we may go back tomorrow...or maybe not...there is still a lot of ground to cover here in the city...which by the way i think is like a bigger -- funkier-- more adult version of austin
